Hi, I’m Lindsey.
I work with adults and focus on one-to-one therapy.
Most of the people who come to see me are thoughtful, capable people who’ve found themselves quietly worn down — often by relationships that have left them doubting their own judgement.
I’m down to earth. Therapy with me isn’t clinical or intimidating, it's a relaxed atmosphere, a space where you can speak freely, think out loud, and not feel judged or analysed.
You don’t have to perform here.
You don’t have to have the right words.
We’ll work it through together.

Professional Background
I trained at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham
and hold an MSc in Person-Centred Psychotherapy.
I am a UKCP-registered psychotherapist
and work within their ethical framework.
“I attend regular supervision and ongoing professional development —
so you’re working with someone accountable, supported and always learning.”
I have experience working in both private practice
and NHS settings,
supporting adults with anxiety, depression and relational trauma.
Before retraining as a psychotherapist, I was a secondary school Drama and Theatre Studies teacher.
What stayed with me most wasn’t the lessons —
it was the long line of young people waiting to talk with me at break and lunch,
not because they were in trouble with me
but because they were having trouble and wanted my support.
Supporting students mattered more to me
than delivering lesson ever did.
Teaching drama taught me something important about boundaries...
You can be warm and easy-going and still be in charge.
You can hold authority without intimidating people.
You can take up space without crushing someone else’s.
That balance — being fully yourself without overstepping or shrinking —
is something many adults have never been shown.
It’s something therapy
can help you build.
A bit about me
I was born in Derbyshire
we say “Ayup mi duck” too.
I went to school in North Wingfield and later Alfreton,
and although I’ve lived in Pilsley, Barnsley, Wakefield, London, Brighton and
Nottingham,
my family ties to Sutton-in-Ashfield and Mansfield
have always kept me connected here.
I’m down to earth...
My dad was a coal miner at Arkwright Pit and
my mum worked as a Youth & Community Worker in Shirebrook.
Being down to Earth and supporting people wasn’t something special in our house —
it was just normal.
I’m a very proud Aunty.
I like real conversations.
I love animals, music, and I used to DJ back in the day(!)
I’ve travelled around South East Asia, and these days I’m often planning my next campervan escape.
All of that matters because therapy isn’t delivered by a clipboard —
it’s offered by a real person.
