Welcome. I’m Lindsey.
I’m a UKCP-registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
If you’re here, you may already have taken a quiet but important first step — looking for support.
Therapy can feel unfamiliar, especially at the beginning. My role is to offer a steady, respectful space where you don’t have to hold everything together.
What I Help With
People come to see me for many reasons.
Often, it’s because something feels confusing,
overwhelming, or quietly exhausting.
I work particularly with:
Depression & Anxiety
Narcissistic abuse & emotionally confusing relationships
Trauma including Relational Trauma
Challenging or toxic family dynamics
Poor Self -esteem
Guilt & Shame
People Pleasing
Low self-esteem and boundary difficulties
Bullying or coercive control
You don’t need to have the “right words”
for what’s happening.
We can work it out together.
How I Work
My approach is person-centred.
That means I’m alongside you rather than directing you. I won’t tell you what to do or offer quick fixes. Instead, we create a space that feels safe enough to explore what’s really going on.
Sessions last 50 minutes and begin and end at the agreed time.
The consistency of that boundary helps the work feel contained and steady.
If you attend in person, you’ll be welcomed into a relaxed, human environment —
often with Bertie nearby, who is always delighted to see everyone.
A Gentle Invitation
Reaching out can feel daunting.
You’re welcome to message me here and we can arrange a
free 20-minute call to see
whether working together feels like the right fit.
